Wayne A. Dryden Obituary

Wayne A. Dryden, 79, of Cynthiana, died Saturday, November 18, 2017.
He was born in Harrison County., KY, June 21, 1938, a son of the late Leo and Nancy McKinley Dryden.
Wayne was a member of Union Baptist Church for over 60 years, was an honorably discharged Army veteran, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He worked for Blake & Johnson in Cynthiana, and as the plant manager in Beaufort, South Carolina, after returning to Cynthiana, he was the Superintendent of Battle Grove Cemetery for 17 years, until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Linda Vance Dryden, two sons, Anthony (Tonya) Dryden, Timothy Dryden, one brother, Virgil ( Audrey) Dryden, one grandson, Rodney Leo (Summer) Dryden and 3 great grandchildren, Natalie, Blake and Emma Claire Dryden, all of Cynthiana.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. John Chamberlin.
Friends may call after 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the service in the Battle Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
Pallbearers: John Doyle, Jon Simpson, John Hyder, Andrew Hyder, Bill Bussell and Rick Wagner.
Honorary Pallbearers: Ashley Ruth Simpson, Linda and Roy Cain, Kathy and Roger Lawrence, Mary and Rankin Hatfield.
