Virginia S. Laytart Obituary

Virginia S. Laytart, 82, of Cynthiana, died Friday, September 22, 2017.
Born in Springfield, Ky., September 23, 1934 to the late Thomas Reed and Virginia Lee Selecman Sallee.
Mrs. Laytart was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University, and St. Thomas Hospital School of Medical Technology. She was a retired medical technologist and had worked for Harrison Memorial Hospital, Dr. Don Stephens and retired from the office of Dr. Wilbur Wilson. Mrs. Laytart was a member and Elder of the Cynthiana Christian Church
Her husband, Carlos Swinford Laytart, preceded her in death in 1998.
Survivors include one son, Brian Allen (Rebecca) Laytart, two daughters, Karen Laytart Conn, Carla Elizabeth Laytart, two sisters, Jean (Ray) Hester, Kathryn Sallee, six grandchildren, Virginia Lee Conn (David) King, Sarah Kathryn Conn, Rachel Anne Conn, Samuel Walker (Hannah) Laytart, Mallory (Corey) Evans, Reesa (Jared) Morrison, and one great grandchild, Zuri Evans.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Battle Grove Cemetery Meditation Building, with Rev. E. Susan Ellis officiating.
Friends may call after 11:00 AM Monday at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Bluegrass Care Navigators, Licking Valley Singers or the Harrison County Senior Citizens' Center.
Pallbearers: Harold Phillips, Doug Hester, Dan Hester, Edwin Taylor, Bill Helsabeck, and Allen Hollar.
