Jesse "Red" Cook, 86, of Cynthiana, died Sunday, April 9, 2017.
He was born in Grayson Co., KY, Dec. 3, 1930, a son of the late John T. and Minnie Elder Cook.
Mr. Cook was a member of the Cynthiana Christian Church, retired from Grede and was the owner of Cook Rock Hauling.
He was preceded in death by his wife , Hilda Jean Hurst Cook, a son, Jesse Dale Cook and several brothers and sisters.
Suvivors include his wife, Mildred Ruth Nichols Cook, son, Smiser J. Cook, Delaware, daughters, Joyce Ann Driskell, Harrodsburg, Betty Jo McCauley and Rebecca Jean Williams, Cynthiana, stepson, Henry Nichols stepdaughters, Susan Anderson, Patricia Nichols and their families. one brother, Chester D. Cook, Indiana, one sister, Cathy Childress, Shrewsbury, KY., grandchildren, Jeremy Sharp, Jonathan Sharp, Jesse D. Cook, Margaret McCauley, Brandon Cook, John Michael McCauley and Alyssa Cook, great grandchildren, Jasmine Sharp, Bentley McCauley and Aubrey Cook.
Services will be conducted 1 PM Friday, April 14, 2017, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, by Dr. Timothy Teater, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Bluegrass Navigators or Cynthiana Christian Church.
