James K. Plummer Obituary

James K. "Jim" Plummer, Jr., 64, of Cynthiana, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
He was born November 5, 1952 in Bourbon Co., KY, a son of James K. and Mary Katherine Carpenter Plummer, Sr., of Cynthiana.
Jim was a member of the Cynthiana Baptist Church, a dual member of the Amnity Lodge #40 and the St. Andrews Masonic Lodge #18, where he had served as past master. He was a member of the Lexington Scottish Rite and the Kentucky Broadcaster Association, and received the lifetime achievement award in 2011.
Jim started his career as a broadcast engineer and worked through the years at WCYN, WFMI and WVLK, he was the retired field service manager for KET.
Survivors include his parents, his wife Paula Harris Plummer, two sons, Benjamin K. (Jessica Butler) Plummer, Florida, James K. (Stephanie) Plummer, Lexington, three sisters, Janis Logsdon, Lawrenceburg, Debbie Perkins, Nicholasville, Kathy Plummer, Cynthiana, three granddaughters, Josie Rae, Kelsey Marie, and Olivia Marie Plummer, and his faithful companion Story.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Cynthiana Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Wayne Spivey. Burial will follow the service in the Battle Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 PM Sunday at the church, with Masonic services at 7:00 PM.
