Elsie Stone Stamper, 86, of Cynthiana, KY., died Friday, December 1, 2017, at Baptist Health.
She was born in Powell County, KY., April 28, 1931, to the late M. L. and Nannie Elizabeth Denny Stone. She was a homemaker and member of Gardnersville Christian Church, Pendleton County and was attending Sunrise Christian Church. Her husband, William Paul Stamper, preceded her in death after 67 years of marriage. Survivors include two daughters, Alisa (Danny) Brannock, Harrison County, KY. and Charmaine (Alan) Brown, Nicholasville, KY., two brothers, John "Bill" (Dorothy) Stone, Owensboro, KY., and Vernon Lewis (Betty) Stone, Jackson County, KY., two sisters, Louise (Charles) Mathis, Middletown, Ohio and Carolyn Sue Hill, Hazard, KY., four grandchildren, Andrea (Josh) Powers, Stephanie (Ben) Wilson, Christie (Paul ) Wesley and Ashley (Steven) Schmidt. Seven great grandchildren also survive. Services will be conducted 1 P.M. Tuesday, Decemeber 5, 2017, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, by Rev. Ben Wilson, Rev. Clifford Neat and Rev. Josh Wilson, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Sunrise Christian Church.
