Donald Jack Harp Obituary

Donald "Jack" Harp, 80 of Cynthiana, died Sunday, April 16, 2017.
Jack was born in Harrison County, KY., September 24, 1936, a son of the late Bennie and Arieta Tolle Harp.
He was a member of the Pleasant Green Baptist Church, retired from Kentucky State Highway Department, he was a farmer, a member of the Community Draft Horse Association, and was a longtime Harrison County athletic booster.
Jack enjoyed spending his time providing wagon rides for school children, senior citizens, community events and at Double Stink Hog Farm.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Stroub Harp, brothers, George, Sam, Kenny and Joe Harp, sisters, Ruby Pollard and Geneva Barnes.
Survivors include two daughters, Becky (Ronnie) Stephens, Lexington, Lisa (David) Case, Cynthiana, four grandsons, Andrew (Garyn Price) Case, Eric (Madison) Case, Brandon Case and Luke Stephens.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the service in the Battle Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care or Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
Pallbearers: Andrew, Eric and Brandon Case, Luke Stephens, Jeff Hopkins, Jeff Laytart, Bobby Todd Barnes and Pacer Harp.
Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
