William Henry Mattox, 80, Leawood Drive, Cynthiana, Ky., died Friday, May 5, 2006
at Edgemont Manor Nursing and Covalescent Home.
He was born in Harrison County, Ky. June 4, 1925, to the late Joseph Henry and
Oma Fryman Mattox. Mr. Mattox was a retired Grede Employee, lifetime farmer and
carpenter. He was a member and deacon of the Central Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Jones Mattox, Son, William J. Mattox, daughter,
Shirley Mattox Jackson, Brothers, Rev. Harold Mattox and Clarence Mattox, Sisters,
Della Juett, Jeanie Porter, Wanda Wainscott and Garnetta Fryman. Grandsons, Donald
Ray Jackson, Jr., Kevin Jackson, William David Mattox and Patrick Mattox. Eight Great
Grandchildren.
Services will conducted 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty
Funeral Home, by Rev. Wayne Tolson, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends
may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday.
Active Pallbearers are Donald Ray Jackson, Jr., Kevin Jackson, William David Mattox,
Patrick Mattox, Dustin Wagoner and Donald Ray Jackson, III.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Frank McKemie, Church Board members of Central Christian
Church and Donald Ray Jackson, Sr.
