Virginia Lee (Ramsey) Perkins

Virginia Lee Ramsey Perkins, 94, of Williamstown, wife of 57 years to the late Lewis Perkins, passed away September 27, 2020 at Grant Center.

Born July 18, 1926 in Ewing, Virginia to the late Tyler & Eunice Nolan Ramsey, she was a devoted homemaker and had also worked as a nursing assistant. 

Surviving are a daughter, Judy Godman; a sister, Lois (Bobby) Bates; 3 granddaughters: Jennifer (Michael) Wehr, Angela Freeman and Emily Godman; and 6 great-grandchildren, along with several brothers & sisters-in-law.

Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Winston & Alva, 2 sisters, Bessie Lee & Maggie, and her son-in-law, Harold Godman. 

Services by Bro. Howard Chipman will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home with burial to follow at Raven Creek Cemetery. 

Virginia’s family and friends will serve as casketbearers. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of service.
