Virginia D. (Garrison) Jones

Virginia Garrison Jones, 93, wife of the late Gilbert Leroy “Teddy” Jones, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at her home.

Born June 6, 1927 in Harrison County to the late Herbert C. & Mary Elizabeth Zeigler Garrison, she was a retired employee of Harrison Memorial Hospital, a longtime member of the Harrison County Homemakers, where she had held many offices including that of President, and was a lifelong member of the Elmarch United Methodist Church. 

Surviving are 2 sons, Gregory L. (Vickie) Jones, of Lexington, and Dwight A. (Kathy) Jones, of Hilliard, Ohio; a daughter, Reba A. (Odus) Fryman, of Cynthiana; a brother, Warner P. “Bud” Garrison, of Tallahassee, Florida; 6 grandchildren: Scott (Shannon) Jones, DeeAnna (Chad) Price, Erik (Ella) Fryman, Lisa Jones, Mary Beth Fryman and Linsey Jones; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Rev. Donna Lou Jones, and 2 half-brothers, Ritzel Sparks and Tom Harney. 

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Rev. Wayne Tolson with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Erik Fryman, Mason Fryman, Peyton Fryman, Scott Jones, Blake Price, Chad Price and Dylan Price. 

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.
