Virgie Mae McCarty Obituary

Virgie Mae Stanfield McCarty, 88, of Cynthiana, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Johnson Mathers Nursing Home.
She was born in Bath County, Kentucky, May 27, 1928, a daughter of the late Floyd and Willie K. Bussell Stanfield. She was a homemaker, mother and member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Her husband Charles McCarty preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Douglas Allen (Phyllis) McCarty, Marvin Clinton McCarty, William "Fuzzy" (Jeannette) McCarty, two daughters, Ethel K. Yazel, Rose Marie (Tommy) Vice, one sister, Edith Crump, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Marjoe Wooten and Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow the service in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Friends may call after 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Tony Yazel, Jamie McCarty, Darrin Vice, Robbie Moyers, Lucas Gallager, Matthew Setters, Justin Turner, and Clinton Yazel.
Honoroary Pallbearers: Howard Livingood, Dr. R. Henry Norfleet, Daniel McCarty and her granddaughters.
