Violet Elizabeth (Chamberlin) Renaker

Violet Elizabeth Chamberlin Renaker, 98, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus.

Born January 23, 1923 in Harrison County to the late Leland P. & Lena Elizabeth Roberts Chamberlin, she was a retired bank teller for Harrison Deposit Bank and member of the Cynthiana Baptist Church. Violet had a diverse background in her working life, having worked as a photographer for Olan Mills, worked the makeup counter at McAvoy’s, waitressed and babysat. She enjoyed reading, quilting and spending time with her children & grandchildren.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Lois Fay Wiglesworth and Betty Gayle (Lewis) Schwartz; a sister, Neva Lanning; 2 grandchildren, Edward Schwartz and Cary (Michael) Coppage; a grandson-in-law, Wally Hunsinger; and 8 great-grandchildren: Joseph C. Slade, Preston Mullins, Cassidy Mullins, Zachary Coppage, Aubrey Haralu, Alaina Coppage, Hailey Hunsinger and Anna Hunsinger, along with several nieces & nephews.

Also preceding her in death were a brother, Rev. Ray Chamberlin, a dear granddaughter, Elizabeth Hunsinger, and a beloved great-grandson, Justin C. Slade.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 22, 2021 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Rev. John Chamberlin, Edward Schwartz and Rev. Dale Kendrick. Burial will follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Michael Coppage, Zachary Coppage, Cassidy Mullins, Preston Mullins, Edward Schwartz and Joseph C. Slade.

Honorary bearers will be Alaina Coppage, Madison Gibson, Aubrey Haralu, Sam Haralu, Anna Hunsinger, Hailey Hunsinger, Wally Hunsinger and Logan Yarnell.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Friday until the time of service.
