Thelma  Louise  Slade  Howard, 93,  of  Cynthiana,  Kentucky,  died   Friday,  March  21,  2008,  at
Edgemont  Manor  Nursing  and  Convalecent  Home.
 
She  was  born  in  Harrison  County,  Kentucky,   July  9,  1914,   to  the  late  William  and  Ula
Hutchison  Slade.   Mrs.  Howard  was  a  member  of  the  Unity  Christian  Church  and  had  worked
at  Hansley  Mills,  Bluegrass  Army  Depot  and  Harrison  Memorial  Hospital.
 
Two  Sons,  Ronald  Lee  Howard  and  Harold  Eugene  Howard,  two  brothers,  Alford  and  Carl
Slade  and  two  sisters,  Gertie  Wise   and  Ruby  Doan  preceded  her  in  death.
 
Survivors  include  one  son,  James  W.  Howard,  Cynthiana,  Ky,   one  daughter,  Ethelyn  Schanding,
Paris,  Ky.,   two  sisters,  Margie  Browning,   Cynthiana,  Ky,  and  Helen  Bowman,  Lexington,  Ky.
14  Grandchildren,  26  Great  Grandchildren  and  19  Great  Great  Grandchildren.   Several  nieces  and
nephews  also  survive.
 
Graveside  services  will  be  conducted  10  A.M.  Tuesday,  in  Battle  Grove  Cemetery,  by  Rev.  Jack
Bowman,  under  the  direction  of  the  Drake-Whaley-McCarty  Funeral  Home,   Cynthiana,  Kentucky.
 
There  will  be  no  visitation.
 
Memorials  may  be  made  to  the  charity  of   choice.
