Ted Wilson

Theodore “Ted” Wilson, 83, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus in Cynthiana, Kentucky.

A native of Harrison County, Kentucky born January 22, 1941 to the late A.T. & Lou Ammerman Wilson, he was of the Methodist faith. Ted was a 1959 graduate of Cynthiana High School, a 1963 graduate of Transylvania University, studied in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar and graduated from Harvard Law School. He worked for many years as an attorney at several federal government agencies in Washington, D.C., including the Environmental Protection Agency. Ted greatly enjoyed retirement in the loving community of Milton, Delaware, where he made many dear friends who he considered family. He was an avid reader and lifelong learner who took pleasure in keeping up with science & politics and liked studying the etymology of words. Ted traveled extensively and took many trips with his fellow International Cultural Youth Exchange friends over the years. He liked the beach, skiing in his younger years and cooking delicious meals at his leisure.

Surviving are a brother, Jon Rhodes (late –Linda) Wilson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a sister, Suetta Wilson (late –Bart) Dickinson of Georgetown, Kentucky; 6 nieces & nephews: Jon Todd Wilson, Michelle Lynn Wilson, Bartlett Graves Dickinson IV, Rebecca Carr Dickinson, Jonathan William Dickinson (Jenna Ross) & Theodore Wilson (Carly) Dickinson; and 2 great-nephews, Jonathan Logan Dickinson & Theodore Wilson Dickinson, Jr.

Also preceding him in death was a nephew, Scott Lyle Wilson.

In accordance with his wishes, Ted will be cremated and inurned on the Ammerman Family Lot at Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana.
