Roy Harrison Goldey, 82, husband of Beverly Jo Dixon Goldey, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his home in Harrison County.
Born July 19, 1941 in Woodford County to the late Henry Harrison & Maude Hatfield Goldey, he was a retired employee of Ladish, former employee of J.T. Penn’s Filling Station, a lifelong farmer and member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include a son, Jeffrey Harrison (late Marireed) Goldey of Harrison County; a daughter, Rhonda Ann Goldey (Paul) Cameron of Lexington; 2 stepsons, Dean (Celtie) Wade of Hattiesburg, Mississippi & Wesley Joe (Crissy) Wade of Berry; a sister, Verna (Charles) Lathrem of Versailles; 5 grandchildren: Sarah Aspen (Nick) Price, Brock (Ashley) Goldey, Jacob Paul (Shelby) Cameron, Ryan Chase (Gracie) Brown & Nathaniel Reed Goldey; 3 step-grandchildren: Molly Ann Wade, Mallory Grace Wade & Zachary Joe (Tangye) Wade; and 4 great-grandchildren: Cameron Alexander Price, Sawyer Adaline Price, Charlie Laken Goldey & Harper LeAnn Goldey.
Also preceding him in death were his first wife, Ruth Ann Faulkner Goldey; 3 brothers, Albert, Bernard & Merl Goldey; and a sister, Joy Green.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 13th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Bro. Tom Moore and Bro. Dennis Jackson with burial to follow in Raven Creek Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Paul & Jacob Cameron, Brock & Nathaniel Goldey, Jared Kearns and Nick Price
Visitation will be after 4:00 P.M. Sunday.
