Rosemary Yasparro Obituary

Rosemary Muntz Yasparro, 76 of Las Vegas, Nevada died March 12, 2007.

She was born October 18, 1930 in Harrison Co., KY a daughter of the late Doan and Florence Fryman Muntz.

Mrs. Yasparro was a nationally known and published poet. Over the years Rosemary has won dozens of awards and acknowledgements for her poems. Inspired by her mother she began writing poetry as a child, carefully observing life around her and painting a picture of what she saw with words.

Hiding in the lines of Rosemary's poems are hints of her courage and determination to overcome the worst of obstacles.  She committed all of her poems to memory since the loss of her eyesight in 1994 due to macular degeneration.  After losing her sight she continued to wright her poems with the help of her dear husband of 37 years Joseph.

Rosemary enjoyed traveling the world and the performing arts.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Yasparro of Las Vegas and her sister Marsha (Robert) Sloan.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Saturday March 17, 2007 at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.

Burial will follow the service in the Battle Grove Cemetery.
