Ronnie Lee Giles, 75, of Cynthiana, husband of the late Sandra Haviland Giles, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born March 22, 1950 in Harrison County to the late Odus B. & Hazel Curtis Giles, he was a 1968 graduate of Harrison County High School and a longtime employee of Bluegrass Industries and Jockey International. Ronnie loved pulling horses and sitting on his porch smoking cigars.
Surviving are 2 children: Ronnie Lee “R.J.” (Lori Beth) Giles, Jr. of Paris and Amy (Ervin) Clark of Cynthiana; 2 stepsons, Wayne (Michelle) Ward and John Ward, both of Harrison County; a brother, Wayne Giles of Winchester; 6 grandchildren: Clay Brooks, Carrie Beth Coy, Dalton Ward, Savanna Rose Neace, Hayley Perkins and Madison Leigh Giles; several great-grandchildren and a special niece, Kathy (Scott) Beckett.
Also preceding him in death were a stepdaughter, Jo Anne Collins; and a brother, Odus Giles, Jr.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 19th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Bro. Richard Kendall with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Jason Beckett, Jeremiah Beckett, Joseph Beckett, Bobby Craft, Steve Lancaster and James McCarty.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of service.
