Ricki (Bond) Giles Obituary

Freda “Ricki” Bond Giles, 83, of Harrison County, wife of the late William L. Giles, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2025 at Dover Manor in Georgetown.

Born May 26, 1942 in Tennessee to the late George Frederic & Nola Wilson Bond, she worked for many years in the hospitality industry as a bartender at several different hotels. Ricki was a very strong woman who raised two children and put them through school. A strict yet still funny mother, she was loved by all. She never gave up on anything, was proud of who she was and didn’t take any shit off of anyone.

Surviving are a daughter, Lynne Yvonne Patierno (Drew Parham) of Poquoson, Virginia; a sister, Rosalie Anderson of Virginia; a grandson, Roger Daniel Patierno; 2 great-grandchildren, Jesse Gene & Carolynne Patierno; and her dear friend and neighbor, Bobbie Bickers.

Also preceding her in death were her son, Brett Kelly Brothers; her brother, Tony Wilson Bond; and her sister, Linda May Crayton.

In accordance with her wishes, Ricki will be cremated and her remains scattered with her son, Brett.
