Raymond Wright, Jr., 76, of Paris, husband of Nancy Adams, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Born November 11, 1947 in Scott County to the late Raymond, Sr. & Mary Lou Kates Wright, he was a longtime truck driver, having formerly been an owner/operator and most recently working for Ryder. An avid outdoorsman, Raymond enjoyed camping, boating and fishing, as well as building and pulling his own trucks.
Also surviving are his daughter, Rayanna Stamper (Chris Earlywine) of Georgetown; stepdaughter, Melissa Franklin of Paris; 2 brothers, Jerry (Cathy) Wright of Harrodsburg & Harold (Lisa) Wright of Versailles; his grandchildren: Kara Stamper, Suzanna Adams, Hope Fallis, Brian Fallis, Jr., Maryann Fallis & Jenna Fallis; and his great-grandchildren: Kaida, Paisley & Ellie, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Rebecca Wright; a brother, George Robert Wright, and a sister, Patsy Wilcox.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 26th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Pastor John Chamberlin with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00A.M. Tuesday until the time of services.
