Paul Allen Whitley, 77, of Irvine, formerly of Cynthiana, husband of Janet Cox Whitley, passed away, Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Born November 2, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Ralph & Helen Whitley, he retired from AT&T after 45 years of service.

Also surviving are 2 daughters, Elizabeth Whitley (Bruce Ritchie) & Kaitlyn Whitley; 5 stepchildren: Jennifer (Stephen) Poynter, Linda (Zac) Yarbough, Tyler (Audrey) Burchfield, Mayra Rawlings & Tre Burchfield; a brother, Harold Whitley; and 6 grandchildren: Becca (Dylan) Coldiron, Faith (Devon) Ayala, and Bryler, Karmen, Hosea & Kayson Burchfield, along with 2 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Stanfield & Waylon Coldiron.

Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Michelle Whitley, and a brother, Carl Whitley.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 20th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Rev. Kevin Strausbaugh with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Bryler Burchfield, Tyler Burchfield, Dylan Coldiron, Stephen Lawson, Bruce Ritchie and Zach Roland.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services.
