Norene (Green) Haynes Obituary
Norene Haynes, 93, formerly of Cynthiana, wife of the late Leonard Haynes, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Dover Manor in Georgetown.
Born February 11, 1930 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Henry & Julia Kirk Green, she was a retired dietary employee at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Michael Lee (Sharon) Whitley of Woodford County; 2 daughters, Mona Gayle Whitley of Cynthiana & Julie (Steve) Howard of Opelika, Alabama; and 5 grandchildren: Lisa (Brad) Doan, Matthew (Anna Lora) Whitley, Megan Whitley, Lacey Kizziah & Clay (Regina) Howard, along with 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several special step-children.
Also preceding her in death were a grandson, Stephen Howard, and several brothers & sisters.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Following cremation, inurnment will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
