Melissa Reneé Watkins, 51, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at her home in Cynthiana.

Born August 9, 1974 in Lexington, Kentucky, she was a longtime chef at several restaurants in both Kentucky and Florida.  Melissa was a friend to everyone she met and known for her loving smile.

Survivors include her mother and “Pops”, Sandra & James Fullem of West Palm Beach, Florida; her father, Averett “Tommy” Watkins of Cynthiana; a sister, Michelle (David) Montgomery of Port St. Lucie, Florida; a brother, Brad (Anna) Watkins, and a half-brother Bryant Watkins, both of Cynthiana, along with a niece and several nephews.

A Celebration of Melissa's life will held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 10th at Ruddles Mill Chrisitan Church.
