Mavis Lyons Obituary
Mavis Lyons, 93 a resident of Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown formerly of Harrison Co. died Wednesday August 30, 2006.
Mrs. Lyons was born September 26, 1912 in Madison Co., Ky a daughter of the late Thomas and Maggie Guest.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Benson United Methodist Church and the widow of Howard Lyons.
Survivors include a niece Mrs. Harry (Jean) Grant Ridley of Richmond a nephew Thomas Edward (Jean)Grant of Richmond and 4 great nieces and nephews Deborah W. Taylor, Steven Grant, Michael Grant all of Richmond and Bill Willoughby Jr. of Florida.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday September 2, 2006 at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Joe Short.
Burial will follow the service in the Benson Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or the Benson United Methodist Church.
