Marylark (Garnett) Allison Obituary

Marylark Garnett Allison, 100, wife of the late James N. “Joe” Allison, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Cedar Ridge Health Campus.

Born November 21, 1922 the only child of the late Lark & Lela Conway Garnett, she was a graduate of Renaker High School, was the oldest living member of Unity Christian Church where she had served as Sunday School Treasurer for many years, and was active in various homemakers groups.

Surviving are a son, James L. (Vicki) Allison; 3 grandchildren: Kris (Butch) Mitchell, James M. (Karla) Allison and John (Autumn) Allison; 7 great-grandchildren: Robert N. Barkley, Noah Mitchell, Lawson Allison, Zane Allison, Rilynn Allison, Jameson Allison and Josh Mitchell.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter-in-law, Deborah Fryman Allison, and a grandson, John Mitchell.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 8th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home officiated by Chaplain Phillip Moody with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Her family will serve as casketbearers

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
