Mary Sue Ammerman White, 87, of Cynthiana, Ky, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at
Cedar Ridge Health Campus.
She was born in Harrison Co., Ky., Sept. 8, 1919, to the late James Phillip and Mary
Bailey Ammerman. Mrs. White was a retired telephone operator for Bell Telephone Co.
and a member of the Mt Hope United Methodist Church, Belle Bennett Circle, Joella
Ashcraft Circle and Business and Professional Womans' Club.
Her husband Leonard C. White and brothers, Joel Henry Ammerman, Frazier Ammerman
and Jay Ammerman preceded her in death.
Survivors include two brothers, Dr. Howard K. Ammerman, Maryland and Dr. Clarence
(Beatrice) Ammerman, Florida, three sisters, Louisa Ammerman and Lillie Mae Ammerman,
both of Harrison Co., and Martha Belle (G. Edward) Henry, Louisville. Several nieces and nephews
also survive.
Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Friday, April 6, 2007, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty
Funeral Home, by Rev. Art Lindsay, Rev. Roger Crouse, Rev. Thomas Crawford and
Rev. G. Edward Henry, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5
to 8 P.M. Thursday.
