Mary Sharp Platt Maddox, 90, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Monday, March 24, 2008,
at her residence.
She was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, June 28, 1917, to the late William Sharp and
Stella Harney Platt. She was a member of the Cynthiana Christian Church, Barlow Homemakers,
Rebekah Lodge and Harrison Memorial Hospital Auxilliary.
Her husband James Ronald Maddox preceded her in death in 1979.
Survivors include one son, James William Maddox and daughter in law Alice, of Sterling, Va.,
Mary Ron Moore and son in law William, of Cynthiana, Kentucky.
Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Thursday, March 27, 2008, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty
Funeral Home, by Dr. Larry W. Bishop and Dr. Timothy Teater, with burial in Battle Grove
Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Heifer International Project in care of
the Cynthiana Christian Church.
