Mary Frances Smith Hildabrand, 85, formerly of Cynthiana, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Eagle Lake Nursing & Rehab Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Born April 24, 1939 in Bourbon County to the late Kurncie “K.B.” & Pauline Yarnell Smith, she was a dedicated wife, mother & homemaker.

Surviving are a daughter, Dawn M. Gessner of Moraine, Ohio; 3 stepchildren: Rick Hildabrand, Jeff Shawhan & Cindy Hildabrand; 2 brothers, C.B. Smith & Bill (Glenda) Smith, both of Cynthiana; a sister, Shirley (Leon) Galloway of Falmouth; and 5 grandchildren: Douglas L. Barr, Haley M. Gessner, Tyler Z. Gessner, Adam Hildabrand & Dylan Hildabrand.

Also preceding her in death were her first husband, Zane Lang Shawhan; her second husband, Ezra Davis; her third husband, Charles L. Hildabrand; a stepson, Kevin Shawhan; and 2 brothers, Kurncie Smith, Jr. & Woody Smith.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Pastor Evan Williams. Burial will follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as casketbearers.

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Wednesday until the time of service.
