Obituary
Marie Gordon Toadvine, 93, wife of the late Ray Toadvine, Jr., passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at her home.
Born April 15, 1929 in Randolph County, Illinois to the late Francis & Geraldine Lively Gordon, she was a longtime nurse’s aide & private sitter and was a member of the Cynthiana Baptist Church.
Surviving are a granddaughter, Angela Mattox; a brother, Francis (Rita) Gordon; a sister, Elva (Howard) Inselmann; 2 great-granddaughters, Jessica (Jacob) Ross & Courtney (Kethan Johnson) Mattox; and 2 great-great granddaughters, Kayleigh Ross & Bailey Ross.
Preceding her in death were an infant daughter; 2 infant sons, James Anthony Toadvine & Howard Toadvine; 4 siblings, Mary Gutreuter, Marvin Gordon, Byron Gordon & Robyn Cochrane; and most recently her son, Ervin Toadvine, who passed away July 17th.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Bro. Jeromey Northcutt with burial to follow in Beaver Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as casketbearers are Bob Cochrane, Joel Gordon, Howard Inselmann, Danny Marsh, Jamie Mattox and Jacob Ross.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Friday until the time of service.
