Margaret "Granny" Wiggins Stroub, 87, of Cynthiana, Ky., died Sunday, January 6, 2008,
at her residence.
She was born in Harrison Co., KY., December 25, 1920 to the late Herman and Louella Chandler
Wiggins. She was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church and a retired 3M employee. Margaret
was an avid collector of dolls and cardinals.
Her husband Everett Robert Stroub, two sisters, Eugenia Fuller and Ann Hampton and a grandson,
Brandon James Stroub preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Rob (Donna) Stroub, Cynthiana, Jim (Brenda) Stroub, Mt. Sterling,
and Steve (Kathy) Stroub, Harrison Co., three daughters, Dorothy (Jack) Harp, Harrison Co.,
Carolyn Whitson, Tenn., and Sherryl Stroub, Harrison Co., one brother, Billy (Wilma Jean)
Wiggins, Harrison Co., two sisters, Allene (Dillard) Wade and Mary Lou Stroub, both of
Harrison Co., eight grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several
step great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty
Funeral Home, by Rev. Steve Delaney and Rev. Josh Hildebrand, with burial in Pythian Grove
Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral
Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Active Pallbearers are Barry Whitson, Josh Stroub, Zach Stroub, Jimbo Stroub, Lee Tucker,
David Case, Ronnie Stephens and Ashley Bottoms.
