Maggie Lou Winkle Sosby, 93, wife of the late Edgar Sosby, passed way Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Edgemont Healthcare Nursing Home.
Born July 30, 1927 in Harrison County to the late Garnett W. & Bessie Lou Winkle, she was a longtime minister with the Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Wesleyan Tabernacle Association. Maggie greatly enjoyed reading her bible and writing letters to her friends.
Surviving are a brother, Robert E. Winkle, of Greenville, Ohio; a sister, Virgie Ann (Randy) Crouch, of Salt Lick; a sister-in-law, Pauline Winkle, of Salt Lick; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers: John, Lester & Orvil Winkle; and 3 sisters: Gladys McCauley, Margaret Spencer & Viola Winkle.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 29th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Tim Hodge, Todd Livesay, Jessie Ray, Sparky & Woody Spencer, Ronnie Whalen and Brandon, Jerry, Larry & Terry Winkle.
Honorary bearers will be Casey & Cindy Armitage, Delores, Eva Diane, Linda & Shirley Hunley, and Faye Letcher.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrison County Food Pantry.
