Linda (Lowe) Hamel

Linda Lowe Hamel, 88, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born January 25, 1934 in Harrison County to the late Lorie Ellis & Lucy Holland Lowe, she was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a retired employee of the State of Kentucky, a member of the First Christian Church of Frankfort and an honorable Kentucky Colonel.  Linda enjoyed researching her family genealogy, going to yard sales, gardening and, most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are 4 daughters: Beverly Hamel, Bebe Clark, Mary Adkins and Lori Hamel; a son, Fred Hamel, II; a sister, Judy Hager; 7 grandchildren: Angie Creech, Lewis Clark, Sarah Clark Smith, Nicholas Adkins, Jeremy Adkins, Liam Hamel & Emma Hamel; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were 2 sisters, Bebe Phaup and Ann Bell.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 22nd in Battle Grove Cemetery. Burial with military honors will follow on the Lowe family lot.
