Lewie Wayne Cox Obituary

Lewie Wayne Cox, 87, husband of Elizabeth McClanahan Cox, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Mercy Health - Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati. 

Born April 18, 1934 in Harrison County to the late Emery Forrest & Edna Williamson Cox, he spent his career working as a butcher for the IGA and A&P Groceries. Lewie loved animals, music and playing guitar in his younger years. 

Additional survivors include his 2 children, Ricky (Kathy) Cox and Beverly (Tommy) Trimby, both of Cincinnati; 2 stepchildren, Thomas Jones, of Stearns, Kentucky and Carolyn (George) Pearcy, of Cincinnati; his sister, Peggy Davis, of Cynthiana; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death was a sister, Joyce VanArsdall. 

A private family burial will be held in Battle Grove Cemetery.
