Judy Perkins Godman, age 77, of Williamstown, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
Born December 19, 1947 in Harrison County, Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose love, strength, and kindness touched everyone she knew. She adored her daughters and grandchildren, and her unwavering support and affection were a constant source of comfort and pride to her family. A retired teacher’s assistant with the Grant County School system, Judy had a passion for helping children learn and grow. Through her work in reading and mathematics, she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. Judy was a faithful member of Stringtown Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold “Dutch” Godman, and her parents, Lewis and Virginia Perkins.
Surviving are her three daughters: Jennifer (Michael) Wehr, Angela Freeman, and Emily Godman. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Jonathan Freeman, Collin Wehr, Leigha Freeman, Ethan Freeman, Shelby Wehr, and Caleb Freeman.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 11th at Drake Whaley McCarty Funeral Home by Pastor James Duncan with burial to follow in Robinson Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Greg Coy, Dan & Tim Field, Jason Shephard and Collin & Michael Wehr.
Her grandchildren Johathan, Leigha, Etahen Shelby & Caleb will service as honorary bearers.
Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Judy’s heart.
