John  D. Taylor,  78,   of   Cynthiana,  Ky.,   died   Friday,  September  21,  2007,  at   the 

University  of  Kentucky   Medical  Center,   Lexington,   Kentucky.

He  was  born  in   Harrison  County,  Kentucky,   April  17,  1929,   to  the  late  Jessie  Goldie

Richmond.   Mr.  Taylor   was  a  retired  Grede   employee  and   dairy  farmer.    He   was  a 

member  of  the  Benson  United  Methodist  Church,   American  Legion  Auxilliary   and   an 

Honorbly  Discharged  Army  Veteran.

Survivors  include  his  wife  of  54  years,   Hildreth  Fogle  Taylor,   son,  John  Paul  (Elizabeth)

Taylor,   Cynthiana,   Ky.,   daughter,   Mary  Jane  (Danny  L.)  Jones,   Berry,   Ky.,    half  brothers,

Stanley  Jenkins,   Robertson  County,  Ky.,   and  William  L.  Jenkins,   Cynthiana,  Ky., 

four   grandchildren,   Joshua  Paul  (Cassidy)  Taylor,   Shawn  Taylor,  Monica  Taylor   and   Lisa

(Mark)  Hart.    five   great  grandchildren,     Cody,  Mollee  and  Allyson  Taylor  and   Hannah   and

Morgan  Hart.

Services   will  be  conducted   1  P.M.  Tuesday,  September  25,   2007,   at   the   Drake-Whaley-

McCarty  Funeral  Home,   by   Rev.  Joe  Short,   with   burial    in   Battle  Grove  Cemetery.

Friends   may  call  from  5  to  8  P.M.  Monday,   at   the  Funeral  Home.

Memorials  may  be  made  to   Benson  United   Methodist  Church.
