Jesse  Taylor  Whitaker,  72,  of  Lexington,  Kentucky,  died  Wednesday,  February  28,  2007,

at   V A  Medical  Center,   Lexington,  Kentucky.

He  was  born  in  Harrison  County,  Kentucky,  April  26,  1934,  to  the  late  Jesse  M.  and  Emma

Jones  Whitaker.   He  was  retired  from  the  Air  Force  after  20  years  of  service.   He  was  a 

member  of  the  Unity  Christian  Church.

Survivors  include  one  son,  Jesse   Whitehead,   Oregan,   one  brother,  Sherman  Whitaker,   Millersburg,

Kentucky,   two  sisters,  Mettie  Withers,  Florida  and  Dixie  Onan,  Lexington.  Two  grandchldren  also

survive.

Full  Military  graveside  honors  will  be  conducted  11  A.M.  Monday,   March  5,  2007,   at 

Jacksonville  Cemetery,  Bourbon  County,  Kentucky.   Friends  may  call   from  5  to  8  P.M.

Sunday  at  the  Drake-Whaley-McCarty  Funeral  Home.
