Jennie  Mildred  Dykes  Whalen,  81,  of  Cynthiana,  Kentucky,  died  Sunday,  October  29,  2006,

at  Harrison  Memorial  Hospital.

She  was  born  in  Fayette  County,  Kentucky,  August  13,  1925,   to  the  late  Bennie  C.  and 

Bessie  Tharpe  Dykes.   She  was  a  registered   L.P.N.   and  had  attended  the  Methodist  Church.

Her  husband,  Clyde  M.  Whalen,   Brother,  Raymond  Dykes,  Sister,  Ruby  Garland  and  Aunt,

Laura  Marie  Tharpe  Dykes  preceded  her  in  death.

Survivors  include  one  sister,   Tabitha  Blount  Dykes,   Cynthiana,  Ky.,   and  several  nieces  and

nephews.

Services   will  be  conducted  12:30  P.M.  Thursday,  November  2,  2006,   at  Drake-Whaley-McCarty

Funeral  Home,  by  Rev.  Joe  Short,  with  burial  in  Winchester  Cemetery.   Winchester,  Kentucky.

Friends  may  call  from  5  to  8  P.M.  Wednesday,   November  1,  2006 at  the  funeral  home.

Active  Pallbearers  are   Nephews  and  Great  Nephews.

Honorary  Pallbearers  are    Jan  Perkins,  Jean  Herh,  Joan  Carroll,  Kitty  Darnell,  Ruth  Garland,
