Jeanann Hardin Kerr, wife of the late Jeffrey George Kerr, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at her home.
Born in Maysville, Kentucky to the late Elbert & Alma Louise Maupin Hardin, she was a graduate of Harrison County High School and the University of Kentucky and member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Always a lover of books and knowledge, Jeanann worked at the Clark County Library while attending U.K., where she achieved both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English. She went on to teach English there and also worked as a research assistant, along with freelancing as a journalist and photographer. Jeanann was also an award-winning writer using the pen name “Milo Minton”.
Surviving are a brother, Timmy Hardin; 5 sisters: Shirley Vereville, Ruby Covert, Delores Campbell, Pamela Perkins & Tammy Hardin; and her beloved pets, Cool Beans the parrot, and Gracie the dog.
Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers: Bobby, Woodie & Elbert Hardin, Jr., and a sister, Janice Crump.
An inurnment service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 16th in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery.
