Janice Carr Judy, 91, wife of the late Harrison County Sheriff Warren C. Judy, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 at her home in Cynthiana.
Born April 20, 1934 in Harrison County to the late John W. & Thelma Simpson Carr, she worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Roy Ross through his 27 years of practice. She previously attended Benson United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington. Janice greatly enjoyed traveling, being involved in church activities and spending time with her family.
Surviving are a brother, John Bardin (Erline) Carr of Lexington; 2 nephews, Larry (Judy) Courtney of Lexington & Michael (Sue) Carr of California; and 2 nieces, Ginger (Danny) Helton & Debbie (Tony) Calvert, both of Lexington, along with several great & great-great nieces & nephews.
Also preceding her in death was a sister, Gwendolyn (Zenas) Courtney.
Services will be 12:00 Noon Thursday, May 8th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Pastor Nick Sandefur with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Andrew Calvert, Tony Calvert, Michael Carr, Eric Courtney and Larry Courtney.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Porter Memorial Baptist Church.
