James Everett "Punk" Florence, 90, a lifelong resident of Mudlick Rd. Cynthiana died Tuesday May 30, 2006 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare Campus.
He was born January 17, 1916 a son of the late Ora and Clara Fryman Florence.
He was a member of the Republican Christian Church and a retired farmer.
Mr. Florence was preceded in death by his wife Edith Smith Florence, and brothers Raymond and Shirley Florence.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law Janice and David Palmer, his grandson and granddaughter in law David Martin and Laira Palmer, and 2 brothers Melvin (Mary Frances) Florence, Cynthiana and H. E. "Buddy" (Gladys) Florence, Lexington.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday June 2, 2006 at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Bill Adams. Burial will follow the service in the Republican Christian Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM Thursday June 1, 2006 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Gary Florence, Donald Reese Palmer, Donnie Kenney, Allen Boyd Flroence, David Martin Palmer, Shearle Snapp, Mike Barnes and Jerry Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers; J. Bird Ritchie, Russell Ray Fryman, Larry Smith, Jerry Watkins and his Sunday School Class.
