Harold Clayton Poe, Jr., 87, husband of 62 years to Eva Stoker Poe, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Born August 4, 1936 in Robertson County to the late Harold Clayton, Sr. & Louise Neal Poe, he was a former employee of the Harrison County Road Department, having retired from the animal shelter, a former member of the Kentucky National Guard, and was a lifelong farmer. Harold had a love of music, spending countless hours singing and playing with his friends.
Other survivors include 2 sons, Gary (Patricia Gail) Poe & William Poe, and a daughter, Teresia (James) McCarty, all of Cynthiana; a brother, William Earl Poe of Cynthiana; 2 sisters, Betty Hayes of Cynthiana & Brenda Sue Poe of Bracken County; 4 grandchildren, Michael Lee & Christopher Poe and Krysta & Trevor Hamm; and several great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, the family will hold a private memorial service in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
