Gladys (Sosbe) Frederick Obituary

Gladys Melvina Sosbe Frederick, 94, wife of the late Carl Frederick, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Grand Haven Nursing Home.

Born July 4, 1929 in Harrison County to the late Lou Tom & Delia Garnett Sosbe, she was a retired employee of Grede Perm Cast and member of Faith Baptist Church. Gladys loved sewing, collecting dolls and cooking, especially when hosting family dinners.

Surviving are a son, Thomas Dale (Martha Sue) Frederick;  a brother, James Lewis “Buddy” (Carol) Sosbe; 2 grandchildren, Shawn Edward (Linda) McCarty & Michelle Leigh (Darrin) Hill; and Nieces & Nephews: Mike (Angie) Sosbe, Jimmy (Shaun) Sosbe & Nicole (the late Jerry) Hicks, along with several great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death was a sister, Josie Elizabeth Sosbe.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 7th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Rev. John Chamberlin with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of service.
