Gertrude Violet Beckett Patrick, 95, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Friday, August 4, 2006, at
Cedar Ridge Health Care Campus. She was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, January 30,
1911, to the late Lewis and Lelah King Beckett. She was a member of the Curry United
Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and had been a Sunday School Teacher.
Her husband Raphael Patrick and a sister Irene Davis preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene (Betty) Patrick, Harrison County, Ky. and Merrell
(Bonnie) Patrick, Hampton, Va., one daughter, Phyllis (Bob) Anderson, Cynthiana, two sisters,
Delores Tolle, Cynthiana, Ky. and Alice Patrick, Lexington, Ky. Eight Grandchildren, Mark (Kathi)
Patrick, Pam (Butch) Pierce, Dian (Mike) Osborne, Sandy (Larry) Singleton, Ian (Debbie) Patrick,
Jennifer (Evan Greller) Patrick, Patrick (Angie) Jennings, and Deandra (Kyle) Gatlin. Eight
Great Grandchildren, Seven Step-Grandchildren, Seven Step Great Grandchildren and One Step
Great Great Grandchild.
Service will be conducted 10 A.M. Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty
Funeral Home, by Reverend John Street and Reverend Joe Short, with burial in Battle Grove
Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M. Monday. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the
Bluegrass or Curry United Methodist Church.
Active Pallbearers are Mark Patrick, Patrick Jennings, Larry Singleton, Harold Earl Pierce,
Ian Patrick and Mike Osborne.
Honorary Pallbearers are Leornard Riddle, Charles Riddle, William Riddle, Kenneth Riddle,
Frazier Fryman, Evan Greller and Luther Beckett.
