Frances Elizabeth Cox Lyons, 96, wife of the late Raymond Lyons, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Baptist Health-Lexington.
Born October 20, 1922 in Harrison County to the late Henry Whaley & Clarine Burden Cox, she was a devoted homemaker who loved spending time with her family and an avid reader.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Erline (Bardin) Carr and Anita McNees, both of Lexington; 4 grandchildren: Debbie Carr (Tony) Calvert, Michael (Sue) Carr, Barry (Lynne) McNees and Beth McNees; 6 great-grandchildren: Matthew, Megan & Andrew Calvert, Brendan & Ashlyn Carr and Brenna McNees; 2 sisters-in-law, Frances Cox & Ruby D. Lyons, and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Charles Cox, and a son-in-law, Paul McNees.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in the Battle Grove Cemetery Meditation Building.
