Elizabeth Ann Wagoner Whitson, 81, wife of the late Kenneth Wayne Whitson, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at her home.
Born July 25, 1939 in Harrison County to the late Sterling Peter & Bessie Lee Sosby Wagoner, she was a former employee of the Wedco District Health Department and member of the Cynthiana Christian Church. Liz had a wonderful, fun-loving spirit, was quick with a joke, dearly loved cats and enjoyed traveling and going to flea markets.
Surviving are a son, Rusty Lee (Ardyth) Whitson; 2 daughters, Rebecca (Brian) Laytart and Rachael (Jose) Ruano; a brother, Sterling Peter (Martha) Wagoner, Jr., all of Cynthiana; 5 grandchildren: Wiley (Jamie) Benson, Maclyn (Brian) Burden, Mallory (Corey) Evans, Reesa Marshall (Blake Warren) and Fox Ruano; and 6 great-grandchildren: Annie & Lucy Benson, Lennon & Marin Burden and Zuri & Shya Evans.
Private graveside services will be held in Battle Grove Cemetery.
The family encourages memorial contributions to Bluegrass Hospice Care and Helping Hounds Find Homes, Inc. in lieu of flowers.
