Doris Lilley Fryman, 87, formerly of Cynthiana, wife of the late Eugene “Zeke” Fryman, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at Boonespring of Boone County in Union, Kentucky.
Born February 11, 1933 in Harrison County, Kentucky to the late Joe Hays, Sr. & Nellie Grayson Lilley, she worked as an operating room surgical technician at Harrison Memorial Hospital for 23 years, was a member of the Sunrise Homemakers and a devoted member of Elmarch United Methodist Church, where she was active in all phases of her church, including organization of the Mary Henson Circle.
Surviving are 2 children, Pamela Abnee, of Carlisle, and Travis Fryman, of Florence; one sister, Priscilla Jones, of Georgetown; 3 brothers: (Charles) Bob Lilley & Gary Sipe, of Cynthiana, and David Sipe, of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Julie Switzer; 5 grandchildren: Hannah & Zack Fryman, Kelly Watkins and Joshua & Jenna Abnee; 10 great-grandchildren: DeKain Reynolds & Parker Hayes Abnee, Isaiah Mann, Chloe, Blair & Cora Fryman, Hunter Hill and Kayla, Marleigh & Gage Watkins; and her faithful helper, Debbie Dahn, along with several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Jackie Fryman; her step-father, Everett Sipe; 2 brothers, Joe Hayes Lilley, II and infant, Winifred Ray Lilley; 2 sisters, Lois Lilley Gonzales and Ann Roberts Spencer; and her in-laws, Ott & Mattie Fryman.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, November 9th in Battle Grove Cemetery officiated by Pastor Terry McDuffey.
Her grandsons will serve as casketbearers.
