David Theodore Johnson

David Theodore Johnson, 60, husband of Betty Nolen Adams-Johnson, passed away December 24, 2020 at the U.K.-Chandler Medical Center.

Born April 5, 1960 in Montgomery County to the late Dewey & Lucille Watkins Johnson, he was a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves, worked in farming and as a private sitter for many years and was a member of the Faith Christian Center.

Additional survivors include 4 step-children: Terry Adams, Betty Jo Frederick, Denise Clifford and Susan Moore (Bruce) Kennedy, all of Harrison County; 4 brothers and sisters: Ellen Lee, Bennie Charles “Buck” (Sandy) Johnson, Ella Rose Sparks and Johnny Ray (Dora) Johnson, all of Montgomery County; 4 grandchildren: Chad Vance, Nicole Getter, Megan (Josh) Ritchie and Ashley Rice; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death was a step-son-in-law, Jerry Wayne Clifford.

Private services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Pastor Kim Young Smith. Burial will follow in Paris Cemetery.

Family & friends will serve as casketbearers.
