Carol Sue (Giles) Williams

Carol Sue Giles Williams, 74, formerly of Cynthiana, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born March 6, 1949 in Harrison County to the late William Layton & Orene Williams Giles, she was a retired claims adjuster for Blue Cross Blue Shield, a former member of the Cyn City Vintage Roses Red Hat Society and a dedicated fan of Elvis Presley. Carol loved her family dearly and greatly enjoyed spending time with them.

Surviving are a son, Brian (Bethany) Stidham of Lexington; 2 brothers, Richard (Terry) Giles of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Ron (Lynda) Giles of Lexington; and her former husband & friend, Richard Williams, along with several nieces & nephews.

Also preceding her in death were a brother, William Lindell "Billie" Giles, and a sister, Betty "Darlene" Wagner. 

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23rd at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home with burial to follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as casketbearers.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
