Betty Jane Ecklar, 88, wife of William Michael “Mousie” Ecklar, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her home in Cynthiana.
Born September 9, 1935 in Mason County to the late Owen & Anna Belle Turner Mineer, she spent many years working in several stores in the area.
Other survivors include her children: Gina Riley, Linda Morris, Lisa (Ben) Griffin, Greg (Paula) Wolfe, Jason (Seth Rosen) Ecklar & Shane (Tasha) Ecklar; a brother, Joe Mineer; grandchildren: Patrick (Keela) Riley, Angela (Clint) Thacker, Jennifer (Dwayne) Dixon, Jakob Griffin, Haley Griffin, Ana Wolfe, Caleb Wolfe, Eva Wolfe, Benjamin Wolfe, Dylan Ecklar, Lindsay Ecklar & Trenton Ecklar; great-grandchildren: Gunner Riley, Oaklyn Riley, Oznie Riley, Colton Dixon & Charlotte “Charlie” Ecklar.
Also preceding her in death were 2 sons-in-law, Cecil Riley & Johnny Morris; a grandson, Jeremy Malone; and 9 brothers & sisters, including her twin Billy, who passed the day before her.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 27th at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home officiated by Randy Wilson. Burial will follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Jennifer Williams Dixon, Jason & Shane Ecklar, Jakob Griffin, Angela Riley Thacker & Greg Wolfe.
Honorary bearers will be Lisa Wolfe Griffin, Linda Wolfe Morris & Gina Wolfe Riley.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. on Thursday until the time of service.
