Anna Belle Franklin Garrison, 102, formerly of Cynthiana, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Born October 1, 1920 in Bourbon County to the late Jesse & Violet Lanter Franklin, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Stanley K. Garrison, her daughter, Carol (Paul) Pickett, a sister, Betty (Don) Tipton, and 3 brothers, Grover, Frank & Charles Franklin.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Gillispie (late-John); 4 grandsons: Jon David (Carol) Gillispie, Craig (Jennifer) Gillispie, Brian (Susan) Gillispie & Michael Gillispie; 1 granddaughter, Lisa (James) Culp; and 6 great-grandsons: Ross, Caleb, Truett, Brett, Parker & Grey Gillispie; 2 great-granddaughters, Anna Belle Gilliespie & Taylor Burton; 5 nephews: Larry Franklin, Terry Tipton, Eric Garrison, and Marvin & Larry Harney; and 2 nieces, Debbie Crum & Melody Tipton.
Anna worked at the Jockey sewing factory, the Oddville School, and at Edgemont Nursing Home. She was a member of Lair United Methodist Church, where she had been active in the United Methodist Women.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, December 16th in the Pythian Grove Cemetery at Berry, Kentucky, with Rev. Joe Tipton, a great-nephew, presiding.
Family and friends will serve as casket bearers.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00 A.M. Friday at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.
