Jean Baird Traylor, 80, of Cynthiana, Ky, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, March 26, 1929, to the late John and Zelinda Pogue Sheldon.  Mrs. Traylor was a retired farmer and housewife and member of the Friendship Baptist Church.  She had served as president of the Renaker School P.T.A. and as an Election Officer.  She had also delivered meals for Senior Citizens and transported patients to Lexington for dialysis treatments.
Her husband Howard Carl Traylor and son Howard W. Traylor preceded her in death.
Mrs. Traylor was the Loving Mother of  Joel Thomas (Tammy) Traylor, Harrison Co., Ky. and  Rita (Ray Sharp) Jones, Georgetown, Ky. and  mother- in -law of  Louise Traylor, Harrison County. Grandmother of  Jeffrey Traylor, Teresa (R.J.) Hargett, Brandon (Emily) Milner, Greg (Mandy) Traylor, Jennifer (Doug) Harvey and Justin (Alison) Jones.  Eleven great grandchildren also survive
Services will be conducted 1 P.M. Monday, February 8, 2010, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, by her nephew, Rev. John Harrison, with burial in Pythian Grove Cemetery. 
Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Active Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandson.
