Mary Helen Davis Sanders, 92, of Cynthiana, died, Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Sanders was born June 17, 1929, in Bourbon Co., KY, a daughter of the late Luther and Nellie Scott Fryman Davis.
She had worked at Kelly's Boarding house, attended Wagoners Chapel United Methodist Church and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henson Sanders, one son, James Owen Davis, two grandchildren, Rita Gayle Haley, Danny Ray Burden, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include one son, Richard (Aimee) Davis, 5 daughters, Lena (David) Mahorney, Georgia (Carroll) Turner, Ruth (Harlan) Reynolds, Rebecca Davis Current, Barbara (Danny) Brierly, a sister in law, Gloria Davis, 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday October 18, 2017, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jerry Watkins. Burial will follow the service in the Battle Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wagoners Chapel UMC or Bluegrass Care Navigators.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
